To ADD a Homepage slide:

  1. Log in as Admin
  2. Navigate to My Dashboard
  3. Open Dashboard Menu
    1. Select 'Slide Management Dashboard'
  4. Follow the steps below:
    1. Select Location (only if it's a group site)
      1. Should not need to adjust this as it auto-populates to the website you're currently logged into
    2. Select "Add New"
      1. To add a New Slide. If modifying a current slide on the website, see 'To Modify or Delete a Slide' directions below
    3. Add 'Slide Image Name'
      1. Briefly describe what the slide is about. See the image above for examples.
    4. Upload the Image Slide file
      1. Please Note: Image cannot be greater than 3 MB or image will not show
    5. Add the Slide Link
      NOTE: The 'Slide Relative Url' stays blank
      1. As seen in the examples, the Slide Link always starts with a /
        1. Ex.'"/new" to link to all NEW inventory
    6. You can add a 'Slide Start Date' (optional)
      NOTE: Keep this empty to make the slide active immediately, as the * says.
      1. Click on the Calendar icon to activate the slide on a different day other than today.
      2. If a slide is already Active, based on the note appearing in the image, you will need to deactivate the slide, by clicking the box next to 'Is Active'
        1. Once the box is unchecked, then the Calendar can be clicked and the activation start date changed.
      3. Click 'Reset Date' to clear out the date
    7. A slide Expiry Date can be added if needed.
      NOTE: Keep this empty to make the slide inexpirable, as the * says
      1. Click on the Calendar icon to select a date for expiration.
        NOTE: Slide will remain active through 11:59 pm on the date selected.
    8. Click the box to Activate (show on Homepage) or Deactivate (Not show on Homepage) the slide 
    9. Click "Add" to Save the slide.
    10. Cancel - to clear everything out
    11. Adjust the order of the slides by either moving them up or down.
      1. Slides closer to the top of the page show up first on the homepage and scroll down the list.
  5. There are a few items that can cause a slide to NOT upload properly
    1. **If the file size is greater than 3MB, it will not upload
    2. If the 'Slide Link' box is left empty. 
      1. If the link stays on the site, then you only need the "/<page>" portion of the link (see slides in the example above)
    3. If the expiry date is set & date is in the past 
      1. If you click "rest date," it will reset the calendar, which you can leave blank or set to the date you want the slide to become inactive (See 4.7.a above).
    4. If the image file name contains an apostrophe (" ' ") the image will be blank. Simply remove the apostrophe from the file name and re-upload the image. If image is still not showing properly, reach out to us.
      1. Example: Changing, "It's Trade in time" --> "Trade in time" or "Its Trade in time"



To Modify or Delete a slide:

  1. You must be logged in to make any Edits.
  2. Follow Steps 1 - 3.a above (in the 'Add a slide' portion of the article)
    1. Adjust the order of slide position, if needed
    2. Click 'Edit' to change the 
      NOTE: See 4.3-4.8 above for more detailed information regarding these fields
      1. Slide Image Name
      2. Image file - only needed if you want the image changed. No need to do anything here if client likes the image.
      3. Slide Link
      4. To add or reset a Start or Expiry Date. 
      5. To Deselect or Select 'Is Active' check box. 
        1. Green slide means it's active/showing on the site. 
        2. Pink means inactive.
    3. Click 'Update' to save the edited info
    4. Click 'Cancel Update' to not make any edits or remove any edits made
    5. If/when needed, Click 'Delete' to fully remove the slide from the dashboard.
